Founder and Owner of Agosto Law, Alexis Agosto is a dedicated attorney who genuinely cares about getting the best possible result for his clients. Mr. Agosto focuses his practice on family law and criminal defense matters, as well as conducting family mediations.
As a Divorce and Family Law attorney, Mr. Agosto has litigated, tried, and won countless family law cases. Mr. Agosto has substantial experience in a variety of family law matters such as divorce, paternity actions, injunctions, modifications, relocations, contempt actions, administrative support actions, and more.
As a former Assistant Public Defender at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Agosto has defended hundreds of criminal cases, including but not limited to: DUIs, driving while license suspended, theft crimes, assault, battery, drug crimes, resisting law enforcement officers, and much more. Mr. Agosto’s work at the Public Defender’s Office has been featured in articles and videos on local and national television such as Fox 35, Fox 29 (Philadelphia), and Channel 6 News.
As a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, Mr. Agosto assists divorcing couples in reaching an amicable and reasonable marital settlement agreement and parenting plan that both parties are content with. In his role as a mediator, Mr. Agosto empowers individuals with the ability to decide their own future rather than place their fate in the unpredictable hands of a Judge.
As a graduate of Florida International University College of Law (consistently ranked as the #1 law school with the highest Florida Bar Exam passage rate), Mr. Agosto graduated in the top 20% of his class and was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship for his academic excellence, allowing him to attend law school on a full-ride scholarship. As a law student, Mr. Agosto clerked for a PIP (personal injury protection) firm as well as a commercial litigation / contract law firm. He also clerked for a Circuit Judge in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court in Miami.
Before attending law school, Mr. Agosto graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree while majoring in Legal Studies and a double minor in both Sociology and Crime, Law, and Deviance. He graduated with a specialization in Sports and Entertainment Law as well as Litigation and Advocacy. He was also a member of the Mock Trial Team and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
In his free time, Mr. Agosto enjoys exercising, playing video games, spending time with his fiancé, friends, and family, and playing with his two dogs, Luke and Archie.
